Anne Diack

Anne has work for nearly 30 years in the public sector in a variety of positions which has provided her with extensive experience of local and national government. She joined the Scottish Government in 2004 where she implemented a progressive communications strategy across the Educational directorate which resulted in cohesive branding and online profile whilst developing innovative stakeholder engagement. After a year as the Communications Manager for eProcurement she worked in the office of the Former First Minister, Alex Salmond, leading on his domestic visits and events.

Since 2011, Anne has been a Team Manager in Culture, leading on Scottish Government’s cultural relations to ensure Scotland’s arts and culture is prominently profiled on the world stage. Through culture, she facilitates wider ministerial bilateral engagement with other countries. She more recently has taken on policy lead for Scotland’s festivals which includes managing the Edinburgh Festival’s EXPO fund. She led the negotiations with China and France on Cultural Memorandums of Understanding which were signed with these nations and Scotland. She programme managed a number of high profile international visits for Scottish Ministers and was a key member of the inaugural Edinburgh International Culture Ministers Summit team in 2012, attracting 33 Ministers of culture to the Scottish Parliament.

She has developed an extensive network within the cultural sector in Scotland and overseas, across all art forms, and excels at bringing ideas and people together to produce tangible results.

In her spare time, apart from enjoying cultural events, she loves keeping fit by cycling, running, swimming, yoga, pilates and hiking up mountains.
